LIFE SUPPORT SUPERVISOR: Sea-Force Hyperbaric

Job description:

Life Support Supervisor required for hyperbaric saturation diving operations to required IMCA standards at SEA-FORCE HYPERBARIC FACILITY in St Johns, Newfoundland. This is a Project Based Position

Responsibilities:
●        Control the running of saturation dive and air dive systems.
●        Knowledge of Emergency Hyperbaric Lifeboat Rescue Operations.
●        Oxygen Treatment Operations.
●        Carry out regular emergency drills.
●        Sound knowledge of gas mixing to suit storage, diving and emergency breathing.
●        Hospital oxygen therapy assistance operations.
●        General Facility Operations.
●        Facilitate and assist external training courses conducted onsite.
●        Mentoring of LST and ALST in the skills they will need to advance to LSS.

Due to the nature of operations carried out by Sea-Force, all candidates must have the knowledge and experience before being an active member of an emergency team, hence your operational experience is key for this position.

The position requires you to work on a 30-day rotation basis, living in St Johns, working daily within the facility and be “on-call” 24/7.

The Hyperbaric unit is located within the Shipyard (Newdock) in St Johns and has all the facilities onsite for personnel to conduct daily 12-hour shifts.

Company accommodation is available (if required) and transportation is onsite for business use.

You will be part of a small team where interaction and teamwork is a key component of the service we provide.

Skills:

Skills Qualifications:
●        IMCA Life Support Technician certificate.
●        Must hold an in-date DCBC Certificate.
●        Offshore experience with diving operations and working on diving support vessels (DSV).
●        Experienced in working for an offshore diving company.
●        Self-Propelled Hyperbaric Lifeboat (SPHL) operations and training.
●        Candidate must be a self-starting team member with good communication and interaction skills.

Qualifications:
•        Candidates should be qualified and experienced within the Diving Industry, working on DSVs
•        Minimum 10 years offshore as LSS – must be able to demonstrate this with log books and Letters of Appointment.
•        SPHL operational experience required.
•        IMCA standard required.
•        Proficiency in English.

Benefits and Other Informations: Candidates will work on a Day-Rate basis.
Day Rates are between $950.00 -$1,150.00 and are based on qualifications and experience.
Per diem of $90.00 per day is given for subsidence during the work period.
Successful candidates will be given complete details which may include a trial period onsite
